Full Time Employment Description:  Purchasing/Material Control Coordinator

 

     Reports To: QHSE Manager

 

     PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Coordinate all purchasing/material control activities related to production including purchasing, shipping/receiving, asset & parts inventories and job staging according to DWSII policy and procedure.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Responsible for all shipping and receiving activity.

2.       Prepare and maintain records and databases including material transfers, shipping & receiving, material and vendor databases.

3.       Package and stock finished good items.

4.       Prepare Requests for Quote and Purchase Orders related to budget.

5.       Assist in inventory cycle count and physical inventories.

6.       Stage materials, supplies, and/or equipment for job orders and assist in scheduling purchase orders and the delivery.

7.       Assist in incoming inspection of materials for kind, count and condition.

8.       Interface with customer service and outside delivery personnel, courier services, and work closely with administrative and production team members.

9.       Maintain the status of all critical items, communicate the status and the effect on backorders and breakdowns on a daily basis.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.       Working knowledge of all MS applications preferred, Excel required.

2.       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Certified fork-lift operator a plus.

3.       Stable work history with the proven ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.  Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic or electronics a plus.

4.       Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving history.

5.       Must pass drug test and background check
